prevention/education events and activities are
regularly provided by the UJFD Fire Prevention Committee upon request
for our schools and other communuity organizations.

- Child seat safety checkups by
Lorrie Sulva, a NHTSA certified Child Passenger Safety Technician,
occur on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
from March through November. Child seat safety checkups from December
through February are by appointment only. Please come by the Underhill
Fire Station (located at 420 Route 15) for a safety check, or call
Lorrie at 899-1738 to schedule an appointment.
- Wood stove
inspections can be scheduled by appointment. If
you would like yours inspected, call the fire station at
899-4025 M-F 8AM-4PM.
- The Labor Day
chicken barbeque.
For over 50 years, the UJFD with the help of Wetherbee's BBQ
has
been hosting a Chcken BBQ on Labor Day. Come down to Browns
River
Middle School for a great community event and some of the best chicken
around. Tickets can be purchased in advance at local stores or are also available at the door.
- Parades.
The UJFD participates in parades on:
- Memorial Day wearing full dress uniform
followed by a service at Jericho or Underhill cemetary
- Harvest Market (last weekend in September) wearing
turnout gear. Fire safety booth and a truck on display for
the
whole weekend.

in the towns of Essex, Richmond, and Cambridge)
